I'll stamp all over 'serious combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Former twice unified boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, consistently making huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly happening.
